Broken string acoustic guitar. ?

Hello everyone, one of my guitar strings of a guitar in my Yamaha G-225 has been broken. Guitar is a very, very old and I doubt that has been re-string for over 10 years. passing of my mother to me. I looked through some websites in both YA and the web for help. Me wonder where to buy guitar strings. How much? and also, I stringing my guitar a whole? i dont want to have to bring my guitar to a store to be it fixed. I wonder what are some questions that I asked the shopkeeper while in a guitar shop for new strings. as what are the things that may need know that he will ask me? also, I've been playing guitar for just a year. I know all about guitar strings … therfore I am not so sure about visiting a store. thank you all very much! PS: please try to answer all questions. thanks again. =)

If you build your chops. Although probably not going to last as long as a heavy chain size. There should be no need to take your guitar to a shop for a string change.
