What kind of acoustic guitar strings should I get?
I have not changed my acoustic guitar strings at all, and I like to experiment with different sounds. I know that there are 80/20 bronze, phosphor bronze, etc. Does anyone have information on the different chains and positive / negative aspects? And its effects?
The source link is something I've read before and agree. Particular account of the cartel "hawgadi" on 14/05/2006, 18:31. To your convenience, I will copy and paste here, but we recommend you read the entire thread for additional information, for example, some people recommend against coated strings especially because they are essentially "dead." ============= I kind of compare to rosewood vs mahogany thing, which is very different interpretations definitions of what sounds "bright." If you follow my description below, I compare PB rosewood and 's 80/20 to mahogany. I have some fears stick pink, and are generally a little brother Bassi mahogany, and in general have more harmonics, and sound, and for me are brighter through the treble. The mahogany guitar is more clear in all registers, with a more fundamental, which I think many people describe as "brilliant." If you really list to another person play the different guitars, rosewood are brighter and brighter, but have more of a "wash" of sound. They are also quite interesting, warmer through the middle and lower. I think the same is true for PB vs. 80/20 's. Heat have more PB, brightness and hues. s The 80/20 "having more clearly, a more fundamental, and cut the sound bite. But there are brighter, at least not when down after an hour or two to play a new game. The difference between light, the fundamental tone, and the cutting of mahogany and strings both 80/20 and nuances, warmth, brightness, and support of rosewood and the PP is something I hear described in many ways and often the terms are swapped around. And different people hear different things and certainly describe what they hear differently. Put PB in my guitars and rosewood 's 80/20 in my mahogany to emphasize the qualities and differences of the woods.

DR Strings Rare Acoustic Guitar Strings
$6.95 Low tension....The sound is Loud and WarmThe RARE phosphor bronze acoustic strings are a departure from the standard, good quality bronze string currently available. They're not necessarily better, but possessing a new, different, and stronger "voice". When DR set out to produce a string with new characteristics, their goal was to redesign contemporary thinking about what phosphor bronze can do for a good acoustic guitar. Hand-carved arch-tops and dreadnaughts and good steel string acoustic guitars of rosewood, maple, and mahogany seem to benefit from a distinct improvement in tone, depth, and sustain with RARE phosphor strings. Players who want a fatter, louder sound, a deeper bottom (who like to hear their guitars ring out) will appreciate the RARE phosphor tone, sound, and feel. According to our heavy-playing bluegrass friend, three-time national guitar picking champion Steve Kaufman, RARES last an unusually long time. Steve recommends DR to all his students. |
