Which instrument should i learn?

For my birthday my boyfriend is getting me an instrument and music lessons. I am super excited but i don’t know what to get. He is rooting for cello, but i was looking into piano or electric guitar (though i can probably take piano lessons at church and the guitar i had a guitar when i was younger acoustic 100$ and i gave up so i donno if it’s me?) Music i love is ska punk and jazz,funk, anything catching really. Just tell me what instruments you play and what would be a good idea for me. I will do more research though.

If your into funk, jazz, and ska punk, I think bass is good because it’s really funky & it’s kinda prominent in those kinds of music. Or continue your electric guitar because jazz has really really cool guitars.
