Guitar From Piano
The transition from guitar to piano?
I've been playing jazz guitar for quite a long time and really want to get decent at the piano, because I believe that the piano is the most beautiful sounding instrument in the world … How difficult is the transition? Is it like starting from scratch? No skills transfer to all? I can read music, improvise, recognize all intervals and chords by ear, knows a lot of music theory and my teacher always uses the piano keyboard help visualize the theory … I'm 16, I know it's a little old to start playing a new instrument … Thanks and excuse my English!
Some skills transfer. The knowledge we already have will help greatly. The hard part is the actual separation of the hands. Playing guitar, (and since jazz guitar This will make more sense to you, I think, that other guitarists), only one party is responsible for playing lead and bass line. Collection by hand, simply which states choose to strike his hand Fretting says. With the piano, both hands the role previously was held by a single hand. That said, although it will take time to get used to them, should not be a very difficult transition. And by the way, English is fine, except that it is not necessary to use an ellipsis (…) to fade little by little at the end of each paragraph … This is just to pe … if you like, eh … indicate a pause. Good luck in your musical projects.
