Do not give a second thought. It is very normal to use his ax, while the purchase of an amplifier. Just be considered. Consider that the dude at the music store has to listen very noise. Some worse than others. While familiarity with the amplifier, keep the volume low. When ready to test your gain or volume, let the employee know its going to the ramp up to a few. Take all the time in the store, you can wait until no other clients to check the volume. Finally, consider a tube amp. You will appreciate the tone.
