What is a low right?

I have to buy guitars, because I have $ 90 in coupons to buy there. I have 13 years and spend my short Epiphone low scale. Play mainly rock, punk, pop and jazz. I do not need anything amazing, just something that looks good and a little impressive. Therefore, my budget is under $ 300. How low should I get?

Go affinity, if you want to save more money, however, the Vintage Modified series is very common and best line of Squier bass, and one of the best bass in this price range. Their low Jazz are really versatile, and can sound good in almost all styles music.
